In 1975 a couple of guys decided to open a sutler's shop and call it "War Surplus Enterprises." This shop sold old military garb and collectibles and soon became a unique storefront right on the scenic route of Highway 1 in North Monterey Bay California - or - the little town known as Moss Landing. War Surplus Enterprises was one of Monterey Bay's most intriguing places to shop if you dared go into the creepy little building surrounded by wire, rebar and strange looking military items. Those who dared go in never regretted their visit because this little fortress was packed to the hilt with history (history that was packed in antique refrigerator & display case units leftover from the old grocery store the building once was).

As the years rolled past and business blossomed it was decided to give this cool little outpost a new name and makeover to encompass all of its great features. Business was good but by improving the grounds, diversifying the unique old collectors product lines, adding some new era surplus, clothing, and outdoor products, we could go places. A new company plan "and name" was certain to be a smashing success.

Now "J&S Surplus & Outdoor Store" (a division of Eagle Emblems Inc.) also has a whole world-wide-web of fascinating products that you can explore or even purchase for your own collection, not to mention an array of outdoor, camping, survival, hunting, hiking, clothing, professional services, police gear, paintball & air soft supplies, sporting goods, swords, knives, collectibles, insignia and flags of the world. The list goes on.
